When it gets cold the fun begins! This year the two homeschool groups in our area did a combined Christmas party. I have friends in both groups so we found the event enjoyable! We celebrated Neko’s birthday. The kiddos learned how to make an apple pie. Then we spent the next two months living … [Read more…]
This fall we had an opportunity to enroll the kids into a Jedi Training Camp. We knew the Freilichtmuseum Hessenpark hosted a variety of seasonal events. We had fun exploring the historical atmosphere and came home with Apfelwein and fresh pressed apple juice. Our local homeschool group, Wiesbaden Area Homeschoolers, organized a fantastic outing at Hof … [Read more…]
For this week’s throw back Thursday post we decided to share what we believe is the most amazing aquarium in the world… The Monterey Bay Aquarium. It’s the aquarium I grew up with. Which might make me a bit biased but I’ll let you be the judge of that. So I’ll instead rely on my family’s overall experience … [Read more…]

Some of the best wonders are in our own “backyard.” We met up with our friends for a playdate at the Copperas Cove City’s main park in late September. The plan of the day was a little nature walk around one of the city parks at Copperas Cove. We brought our little notebooks and drew the … [Read more…]
All week it was bright and warm. The one day in the week I planned for Lil Man’s birthday was blah… Seriously all wet, gray, and windy. The very next day, in the wee hours of the morning… the sky decided to get the blah out of its system. I awoke today to another bright, … [Read more…]
